EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The “buzz” on Rock 102’s Bax & O’Brien show this morning was the buzzing of clippers, as local auto dealer Mike Balise had his head shaved to raise money for cancer research. Balise is using a Go Fund Me account to fundraise for the Dana Farber Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Center.

Their goal is to raise $5,000 for the center, and to get people to participate, each $10 donation enters your name into a drawing for a pair of tickets to a November 8 Patriots-Redskins game.

Balise revealed back in November that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer. Balise said that he has just begun a new stage of chemotherapy, which will cause him to lose his hair.
