PHILADELPHIA (WWLP) – Springfield Bishop Mitchell Rozanski spoke to 22News about his experience meeting Pope Francis and how this trip to the U.S. is resonating.
Bishop Rozanski also said the Springfield Diocese already does a great job of reaching out to the poor and feed the homeless. Pope Francis has encouraged Bishops to continue that mission and to really live what the gospel is about.
He said, “Pope Francis comes to us Bishops as a brother Bishop. Knowing the responsibilities that we have, he comes as a brother who encourages us and He also comes as the Holy Father who helps to challenge us in our ministries and to help us to live the gospel more deeply so that we may serve our people better. ”
