CHICOPEE, Mass (WWLP) — The irresistible lover in the psychological thriller “The Perfect Guy” would be the answer to every woman’s dreams, if he wasn’t such a dangerous psychopath.

Which provides enough menace to make this familiar melodramatic tale worth telling for the umpteenth time.

Sanaa Lathan’s love life is  in just enough disarray to welcome a new lover.

And Michael Ealy’s “The Perfect Guy” for what’s ailing this lovesick career woman.

But it’s not long before Ealy’s sociopath tendencies throw a crimp into their budding relationship.

What the heck did she get herself into? Now that he’s had his initial emotional outburst, Ealy can let his entire psychosis out in the open and reveal himself to be a homicidal stalker.

And not even Sanaa’s former lover, Morris Chestnut will change Ealy’s twisted compulsion.

As many times as Hollywood re-works these pulpy thrillers, we can’t seem to get enough of them,

Especially when they’re as well acted and tightly directed as “The Perfect Guy’.

For being so intensely off his rocker, “The Perfect Guy” ingratiated himself with 3 stars.

So until the next time a suave nutcase sweeps a needy woman off of her feet.
