Video: FBI busts man convicted of terrorism

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A judge has made secretly recorded conversations between a local man and undercover FBI agents public.

Glendon Scott Crawford was convicted in August 2015 in federal court on terrorism charges. The man was accused of attempting to make a death ray machine to target local Muslims and government officials.

Newly released FBI tapes show the dramatic moment he was arrested by federal agents.

One video takes place in 2012 in a Schenectady hotel room. It reveals Crawford had planned to kill local Muslims using a mobile, radiation weapon.

“It’s basically a horrendously strong x-ray machine,” Crawford can be heard saying.

However, Crawford did not realize that at the time, he was actually meeting with an undercover FBI agent posing as a white supremacist. In another video recorded inside a warehouse in Schaghticoke, Crawford is seen talking with an undercover agent when he gets busted.

Crawford could face life in prison when sentenced in December.
