WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts Day at the Big E brought big crowds to the Massachusetts building along the Avenue of States. Secretary of State William Galvin used the occasion to advocate registering to vote online.
Galvin told 22News that he’s targeting young people who came of age during the digital generation “Because they’re very familiar with doing everything online and they’re rarely called upon to fill in any paper forms. It gives people the ease to do it at any time.”
There’s an urgency to Secretary Galvin’s online voter registration campaign. Massachusetts’ presidential primary is on March 1 of next year, at least a month earlier than previous primary years.
