WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) – A mass-casualty drill, which simulates a plane accident, will take place at the Bradley International Airport this weekend.
According to the Connecticut Airport Authority, 25 different emergency response agencies will participate in the drill that must happened every 3 years as a requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration’s airport certification.
About a hundred people are expected to participate in the drill. Anyone visiting Bradley Airport should be aware that a number of emergency vehicles will be in the area, and Light Lane, which is between Firehouse Road and Citation Lane, will be closed during the simulation.
The drill will be held on the “Field of Champions” from 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
NOTE: Bradley Airport Administration, Operations, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, Security and Maintenance personnel are coordinating the practice drill with the assistance of local, state and federal emergency services agencies.
