CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Two out of the four suspects in a shooting earlier this month on Cabot Street in downtown Chicopee have been identified. Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News that Joseph Andres Rios, 19, of Springfield was arrested on other charges by Springfield police, and is currently in the Ludlow jail.

UPDATE: Chicopee police were searching for the second identified suspect, Norman Pagan. He turned himself in to police on Tuesday.

A 43 year-old man was seriously wounded in the shooting on September 6 near 66 Cabot Street. Following the incident, the suspects were seen running up School Street toward Springfield Street. Their images were captured on surveillance video, which the department released last week.

Wilk said that the two were identified by police thanks to tips that came in from the public via phone calls, message, and text-a-tip submissions. The two other men believed to be involved in the shooting have not yet been identified.

Rios and Pagan are being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to maim, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and possession of a firearm in a felony.
