WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Fall is just days away, and we’re finally feeling like it, but we still would like to see some more colors.
22News talked to fans of fall Sunday, who love those changing colors of Autumn.
With fall just days away, most people are getting “in the season,” this including, apple picking, pumpkin picking, and of course taking advantage of the colorful leaves on the trees.
Sarah Moquin, from Westfield, told 22News she loves Fall and looks forward to almost everything about it, “Pumpkins, leaves, changing of the cooler weather, hoodies, everything falls my favorite.”
The changing of the colors on the trees, was the talk on the town in Stanley Park, in Westfield. Most people can not get enough of the colors here in New England.
Marilyn Warchol, in Westfield, told 22News,”Oh yes, oh yes, we’ll be taking drives through Blandford, Grandville, to see the foliage, it’ll be lovely.”
Heather Whittington, from Arlington, could not agree more as she told 22News, “It’s beautiful here, I can’t believe how these trees are going to look, to me that’s some of the best times, just being able to be outside and see the changing skyline.”
However, there has been a delay in the changing of colors this season. A little more rain could help to speed up the process. Due to a warm and dry start to September, leaves are taking their time changing from green to the breathe taking colors we are used to seeing during the fall.”
In isolated dry spots, some leaves are drying out and falling off. Some rain and a dip in temperatures could bring back the colorful outdoor show. Looking into this week’s forecasts, cooler temperatures are on the menu.
