CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – If you are the only one listed on your auto insurance policy, adding a second driver might qualify you for a lower rate.
Insurance Center of New England President Bill Trudeau told 22News that it’s important that second driver should be a member of your household, and have a clean driving record.
“If their driving record is worse than yours, if they have more tickets or points, then the chances are that your premium is going to increase,” said Trudeau.
Trudeau said to find out if you could benefit from adding a second driver to your policy, you should call your agency, identify the driver, and they can tell you how it will impact your premium.
