Suspected drug dealer arrested in Indian Orchard

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)- Springfield police arrested an alleged drug dealer in Indian Orchard selling heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.

According to Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney, 37-year old Eugenio Negron of 390 Cedar Street in Springfield was arrested Friday following a surveillance operation. Delaney says police saw his blue Infiniti pull up to the corner of Worcester Street and Pinevale Street to make a drug sale. Police decided to move in to make an arrest, but Delaney says Negron drove away. Police caught up with him on Centre Street, where he allegedly tried to hide some drugs that he had on him.

In total, Delaney says, Negron was found holding 55 bags of heroin (which was labeled “Soul Food”), a large plastic bag of powder cocaine, packaged marijuana, crack cocaine packaged for sale, and $475 in cash.

Negron has been charged with possession of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and crack with intent. Springfield police detectives will continue to monitor this section of Indian Orchard for suspected drug dealing.
