Knife used during fight at Palmer bar

Anthony Panaccione of Brimfield charged with assault and battery

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A man who allegedly pulled a knife during a fight at a Palmer bar was arrested miles away on Boston Road in Wilbraham early Monday morning. Twenty-six year-old Anthony Panaccione of Brimfield was taken into custody after 1:00 A.M.

Wilbraham Police Capt. Timothy Kane told 22News that their department was contacted by Palmer police about a large fight at the Turtle Pond Bar on Route 20, in which one of the participants had a knife.

According to Palmer Police Sgt. Erin Sullivan, a victim of the fight suffered several small knife wounds.

Kane says Wilbraham police were told the suspect was seen leaving the bar in a red Subaru. Police pulled that vehicle over near the Eastwood Shops on Boston Road, where a Palmer police sergeant arrested Panaccione.

Panaccione is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was released on bail, and is due in Palmer District Court on Wednesday.
