EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Friday was another nice day to get out to the driving range or to be on the golf course. At Fenway Golf in East Longmeadow the weather this summer was really good for business.
“It was dynamite, absolute dynamite. If you ever came by at 5 o’clock at night even before supper you couldn’t get a parking space. It was absolutely wonderful they had a good year thank goodness,” said Kathy Darcy from Fenway Golf in East Longmeadow.
With the warm weather people were not only golfing they were also coming for the ice cream to try and cool down.
At Sixteen Acres Garden Center in Springfield, this summer’s weather was pretty good for business as well.
“Overall summer did very well. It was a busy June a busy July it slowed down a little bit in August which is to be expected we had some periods of some humid weather so it usually tends to slow down but now it’s starting to pick up again,” said Peter Furnari from Sixteen Acres Garden Center in Springfield.
Now with fall almost here there is still plenty available. There are lots of mums and you can already find pumpkins too.
