WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) – When you think about Labor Day travel, you may think about congestion on the roads, but airports will also be busy over the next couple days. According to Airlines for America, more than 14.2 million people are expected to fly over the seven days surrounding the Labor Day holiday.
That represents a 3% increase from last year. Wayne Hooker of Springfield is one of those who will be getting away for the holiday.
“We’re traveling down to Beverly Hills or Hollywood, Florida to setlle my girlfiend’s father in the state, and we’re trying to have a little good time while we’re doing it in Tampa,” Hooker said.
Friday is expected to be the busiest day to fly.
