Bradley re-opened after plane cleared from the runway

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP/AP) – Bradley International Airport was closed Tuesday evening, after a military plane had a tire malfunction during landing.

David White, Deputy Director of Operations at Bradley International Airport, told 22News a Air National Guard C-130 transport had a tire malfunction and the runway was temporarily closed. White said no one was hurt, but the airport was closed while they cleared the runway.

According to Alisa Sisic of the CT Airport Authority, the plane was moved out of the way before 8:00 p.m. and the airport became fully operational.

As the plane was being removed from the runway, Bradley website was reporting multiple delays and cancellations. Some planes were being re-routed.
