Woman killed in Springfield fire

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – One of the three people taken to the hospital Friday night after a townhouse fire on Canon Circle has died.

Springfield Fire Spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News firefighters found the woman on the second floor of the house. She was rushed to the hospital where she died overnight.

Five people were living inside the townhouse at 546 Canon Circle, which caught fire started just after 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Two other people, including a 13-year-old boy were also taken the hospital. They’re both expected to be ok.

The woman who was killed in the fire was unconscious when she was taken out of the house.
