Alison Parker’s father calls for gun control

Andy Parker says he plans to push for new gun control laws

(NBC News) The father of murder victim Alison Parker is expressing his grief and outrage, one day after she was killed on live television.

Parker and coworker Adam Ward, both journalists working for Virginia CBS affiliate WDBJ, were shot and killed while conducting a live interview Wednesday morning.

Their killer, former coworker Vester Flanagan, later took his own life after posting video of the shooting online.

Andy Parker says he plans to push for new gun control laws.

“My grief which is apparent and will be for a while, it’s turned to anger,” Andy Parker says. “I’m relentless and I’m not going to stop until something happens because I don’t want to see another Alison tragedy like this again. I’m just not going to do it.”
