AG: Three Rivers prudential committee violated state law

Continuing coverage on the controversy surrounding Three Rivers Fire Chief

THREE RIVERS, Mass. (WWLP) – The Attorney General’s office has determined that the prudential committee violated the state’s open meeting law in its efforts to discipline Three River’s Fire Chief Scott Turner.

Chief Turner had filed a complaint with the AG’s office, alleging that the committee had held an illegal executive session meeting in June. The Assistant Attorney General said the complaint against the prudential committee has since been resolved.

The committee was ordered to give Chief Turner un-redacted minutes from that executive session.
