LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WTNH) –  Rapper Wiz Khalifa was arrested at LAX airport on Saturday after he refused to get off his personal hoverboard.

Rolling Stones magazine reports that Khalifa was handcuffed after an incident with Customs and Border Patrol officers. “All because I wouldn’t ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next 6 months,” he wrote in a tweet.

The 27-year-old rapper posted several videos to his social media accounts showing the confrontation with the officers and his refusal to disembark his hoverboard.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsKhalifa also posted a video of himself handcuffed on the ground surrounded by police. They tell him to stop resisting and he replies that he’s not.

Khalifa later defended himself by tweeting that “I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards.”

Rolling Stones magazine reports that Khalifa has documented his run-ins with police before on social media. In May 2014, he took a selfie from jail after being busted for marijuana at a Texas airport.
