(NBC News) – Three endangered Mexican bobcat kittens made their public debut at a Mexico City zoo Friday.
The fluffy felines were born at Mexico City’s Los Coyotes Zoo back in June, and are already one of the most popular attractions at the park.
The rare birth of the feline triplets is a first for the zoo in a decade.
The proud mother has reportedly been by her kittens’ sides from birth to protect and feed them.
The Mexican bobcat is the southernmost subspecies of the bobcat family. It has been classified as endangered due to the destruction of its habitats as well as poachers seeking to trade its thick fur coats.
