Preseason Week 2: Patriots 26, Saints 24, Final

Both teams were defeated in the first week of the preseason

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The New England Patriots continue the 2015 NFL Preseason against a team looking to once again be a contender for the Super Bowl; the New Orleans Saints. The game started at 7:30 p.m. on 22News.

FINAL SCORE: Patriots 26, Saints 24

The Patriots ended the 2014 NFL Season by beating the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl; Quarterback Tom Brady and Coach Bill Belichick won their fourth championships. The Saints last season didn’t make the playoffs for the first time since 2012 after losing to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16.

Future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees did not play last week when the Saints were beat by the Baltimore Ravens. After hearing possible trade rumors in the off season, Brees looks to prove why he’s one of the top 5 quarterbacks in the league.

Brady did play last week in the first quarter against the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rogers. Unfortunately, Brady did not fare well, only playing a limited amount of minutes, and Pats lost.

Brady is still dealing with the possibility of missing the first four games of the season due to the “Deflategate” investigation. If suspended, Jimmy Garoppolo is preparing to take over and win some games. He showed some promise in Week 1, even though he was sacked seven times.
