Porter and Chester Institute’s 4th Annual Honoring our Heroes Day

The event draws a large crowd every year

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Porter Chester Institute is holding their 4th Annual Honoring our Heroes Day Saturday morning.

This event is all about honoring our local heroes, and that includes our servicemen and woman, as well as local police officers and firefighters.

The event is known to draw a large crowd every year.

The event is being held at the Porter and Chester Institute in Chicopee.

It’s a family friendly event that includes a car and truck show, along with prizes, food and music.

It’s free for the public, but anyone interested in entering the car show contest will have to pay a $20 registration fee.

Local firefighters and police departments are invited to attend the event, which recognizes local military veterans, police and fire personnel, and EMT responders.

All of the money raised here today will go towards supporting our local veterans at the Holyoke Soldier’s Home.

The event takes place from 9AM to 3PM Saturday.
