SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Science Museum’s dinosaur hall hosted the Jurassic roadshow on Saturday. A collection of dinosaur fossils, some found right here where the big beasts once roamed here in Western Massachusetts.
Some families, having seen the hit movie “Jurassic World”, were curious about the relics in the dinosaur hall. “I needed something for them to do today, and I thought this would be nice for them,” said Alyssa Jilles of Springfield. “They really liked the movie and the whole Idea about dinosaurs roaming the earth.”
Others came for the sheer pleasure of checking out artifacts that proved that the dinosaurs’ stomping grounds of yesteryear were actually as close as the city of Holyoke.
