CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut state police say two men in their 20s have been killed in a rollover crash on Route 9 in Cromwell.
Police said the men were traveling in a pickup truck that sideswiped a car, then overturned and crashed through a wire guardrail and landed in the grassy median. The crash was reported at around 1:15 a.m. Saturday near Exit 19.
The pickup driver, 22-year-old Kevin Palozie of Middletown, and his passenger, 22-year-old Travis Coozi of East Hampton, were killed.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The highway was closed until about 6:30 a.m. for the investigation, which is continuing.
