(NBC News) – Fox News Channel decided to cut the number of candidates on stage a the first Republican debate to the the top 10, based on polls – which leaves seven candidates off the stage in prime time.
Donald Trump will be center stage as the front runner – and he’s promising no antics: “I want to be right down the middle. I want to talk about policy. I’m not looking to hurt anybody. I’m not looking to embarrass anybody,” said the billionaire on Fox News.
Ohio Governor John Kasich barely made it in the top 10… Now assured a spot on stage in his home state. “The only way you win Ohio is with somebody who’s a uniter, if you can come into Ohio and divide, polarize, you won’t win.” Presidential Candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH).
Rick Perry got squeezed out – he’s number 11. So did rick Santorum. “…arbitrarily cut off that number is an insult to the voters,” said Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum, (R).
“It’s a disadvantage. It is a setback. It’s not necessarily terminal,” said Former Presidential Candidate Tim Pawlenty
Jeb bush is in… After mixing it up with Hillary Clinton over funding Planned Parenthood.
“I’m not sure we need a half a billion dollars for women’s health issues,” said Jeb Bush (R) Presidential Candidate.
“When you attack Planned Parenthood, you attack women’s health and when you attack women’s health, you attack America’s health,” said Hillary Clinton, (D) Presidential Candidate.
