Holyoke police looking for bank robber

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke police are searching for a suspect following a late-morning bank robbery in the city’s Highlands neighborhood.

Holyoke Police Sgt. Philip McKay told 22News the People’s Bank on Hampden Street was robbed at around 11:00 A.M. He said that during the robbery, the suspect passed a note to a teller, but no weapon was actually shown, and no one was hurt.

Police are currently looking for a white man who was wearing a tan hat and a black shirt. Additional information about the robbery was not immediately available.
