Police investigating shooting on Bowles Street

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) –  Springfield police are investigating an overnight shooting in the city’s McKnight neighborhood.

Springfield Police Capt. David Martin told 22News that the shooting victim had walked over to Eastern Avenue in the area of the fire station following the shooting, which took place on Bowles Street shortly after 1:30 Monday morning.

He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and is expected to recover.

According to Capt. Martin, police are looking for three black men wearing dark colored clothing in connection with shooting.
