Massachusetts man arrested over Facebook dispute

Kerkhoff was arraigned on multiple criminal counts

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WPRI) — A North Attleboro man was arrested early Monday morning after an altercation that started on Facebook got out of hand, according to police.

Police said Christopher Kerkoff drove to Oakland Street in Mansfield around 3:30 a.m to settle a dispute that had started online. Kerkhoff was found wielding a loaded handgun with 19 rounds of ammunition. He also had a folding knife, police said.

Inside the car, police said there was a loaded shotgun, a semi-automatic rifle, more ammunition, and a double-edged knife.

Kerkhoff was arraigned on multiple criminal counts, including assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, and malicious destruction of property.
