Trump leading crowded GOP presidential pack

The top ten candidates will be invited to the GOP debate

(NBC News) – With the first Republican debate in the 2016 race for the White House just days away, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds Donald Trump leading the pack.

Trump came in at 19-percent in the poll. Trump was followed by:

  • Wisconsin governor Scott Walker with 15%
  • Former Florida governor Jeb Bush in third with 14%
  • Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is fourth with 10%
  • Texas senator Ted Cruz rounds out the top five with 9%

The top ten candidates, calculated by an average of the last five major polls, will be invited to participate in Thursday night’s Fox News GOP debate.
