Mass. man found dead in overturned car in rural Connecticut

The accident is still being investigated

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (AP) — A Massachusetts man has been found dead in his overturned car in the middle of a road in the eastern Connecticut village of Moosup.

The Norwich Bulletin reports Plainfield police say 29-year-old Michael Shong of Dudley was pronounced dead at the scene when their officers arrived with fire rescue units from Moosup and Central Village at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police said it appears the Honda Civic was southbound on Snake Meadow Road in Moosup when it ran off a curve, hit an embankment and rolled over.

The accident is still being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to call Plainfield police at 860-564-0804.
