Over 3M dry erase boards recalled due to hazard

The boards were sold between 2005 - 2013

(NBC NEWS) – The ACCO Corporation is recalling 3.3-million magnetic and dry erase boards due to a possible laceration hazard. The recall involves eight styles of the quartet boards including the calendar style and combination board with push pins.

The boards were sold in stores and online between January 2005 and December 2013. They came in various sizes and colors and were priced between $5 and $10.

According to the recall, at least seven people have suffered cuts to their hands, fingers and feet while trying to remove the mounted boards.

Consumers are encouraged to contact ACCO for a caution label that instructs consumers to wear heavy gloves when removing the boards.
