(NTV) A man survived unscathed after a train passed directly over his body on a rail line in southwest Japan Thursday night.
Security camera footage shows the 83-year-old man lying face down between two rails on the line in Kumamoto Prefecture.
The rails are only five inches high.
The driver apparently hit the brakes hard when he saw the man, but the train failed to stop in time and passed over the man’s body. The man told police he doesn’t remember anything.
About 80 passengers were on board the train at the time. No one was injured.
