PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island. (WWLP) – A small earthquake was detected by seismographs early Wednesday morning in Rhode Island.
According to the USGS, the 2.3 magnitude quake occurred at 3:43am Wednesday and weak movement was felt by some counties in and around the Providence area.
At this time there’s no reports of damage.
In early January, a series or “swarm” of earthquakes rattled some residents in nearby eastern Connecticut. Those earthquakes were also small.
