HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man told police he was shot, chased and then robbed at gunpoint – all for $3 and his cell phone.
The 19-year-old man reported he was walking in the 2300 block of Orange Alley Wednesday morning when the robber, wearing a black half-mask, approached him and shot him in the elbow. He said he was then chased by the unknown man and robbed of his phone and money, according to a police news release.
Police said a patrol officer heard the shot in the area north of 4th and Woodbine streets around 10:45 a.m., but a search did not turn up a victim. Around noon, the injured man showed up at Harrisburg Hospital and gave his account to police.
Investigators said they were able to establish a crime scene where some evidence was collected.
