SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – With the weather outside as hot as it is, the last thing you’re probably thinking about is heating your home this winter. However, for oil customers, now may be a good time to lock in cheaper prices for the winter.
Tim Noonan of Noonan Energy in Springfield told 22News the prices are lower right now than they were a year ago at this time, but they do fluctuate often. He said, “It’s not a guarantee. Some people just like the security of knowing this is what I’m going to pay, regardless of what happens.”
For the most savings, locked-in customers must pay in full up front, but Noonan Energy also offers a budget program so customers can pay over a few months, at just ten cents more per gallon.
