CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The family of Chicopee native Josh Devine is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the disappearance of the National Guardsman during an April diving excursion in Thailand.

The reward is expected to be published in three Thai newspapers and on social media.

Family members travelled to Thailand in April help search for the 36-year-old Devine, but left without finding any clues as to his whereabouts. They heard conflicting stories from people on board, but determined there was some kind of altercation and alcohol was involved.

The official search ended shortly thereafter.

Devine was a sergeant in the Connecticut National Guard between 2002 and 2006. He worked as an information technology specialist for a military contractor in Kuwait.
