Push to identify Mass. toddler intensifies

More than 45 million people have seen the image

(NECN) – The search for information and clues into the identity of a little girl found dead off the Massachusetts coast continues as the district attorney and investigators are trying to appeal to people’s consciences.

Authorities are continuing to hope a computer-generated picture jogs someone’s memory or pulls at someone’s heartstrings hard enough that they come forward with information on who the girl is and how and why she ended up dead on Deer Island Beach.

More than 45 million people have seen the image of the 4-year-old girl, but investigators still haven’t been able to figure out who she is.

The image and also pictures of the black-and-white polka dot leggings the girl was wearing when she was found and also a zebra print blanket found with the girl in the industrial style bag she was found in on Deer Island have all been released with the hopes somebody recognizes something.
