ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, Maine (AP) — Officials say that three people were injured in separate incidents at Acadia National Park.
The park says that a 32-year-old-man from Chelmsford, Massachusetts fell about 60 feet at the Otter Cliffs on Friday morning. Officials say he sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Life Flight to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Rescuers also responded to a 60-year-old man from Avon, Connecticut, who was injured while hiking off the Shore Path. Park officials say he was carried off the trail and taken to Mount Desert Island Hospital for treatment of a lower leg injury.
In another incident, officials say an 18-month-old boy from Scarborough was injured when he fell on Acadia Mountain. He was evaluated by rescue personnel and taken to Mount Desert Island Hospital as a precaution.
