Teenager rescued from Southwick rock quarry

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – A teenage boy has been rescued after falling down a rock quarry in Southwick.

Agawam Fire Chief Allen Sirois told 22News the teen fell from a cliff face near the Agawam/Southwick town line around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get him out of the woods and to the street.

The teen was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and is in serious condition.  No word on the extent of his injuries.
