Boater rescued from CT River

No one was hurt

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police rescued a boater whose engine stopped in the Connecticut River.

While on a routine patrol, officers observed a stalled boat, with people attempting to paddle to shore. Due to the strong current, the boat was drifting downstream.

Officials were able to tow the boat safely to shore. No one was hurt.
