Springfield Police Department dogs are better protected now

"Vested Interest in K9s" has awarded ballistic vests to the police dogs

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Police Department’s dogs are going to be better protected now.

The non-profit organization “Vested Interest in K9s” has awarded ballistic vests to the police dogs. The vests will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Grom, Springfield Police Department”.

Grom died while on duty with his partner in March of this year.
