Charleston residents prepare to say goodbye

Rev. Pinckney’s funeral will take place at the College of Charleston

(NBC NEWS) – Nine days after gunshots ended a Bible study inside a South Carolina church, President Obama will be in Charleston Friday to eulogize a leader who died delivering the gospel.

On Thursday, the body of Reverend Clementa Pinckney returned from the State House rotunda, where it had lied in state. Friday morning he will be moved to the College of Charleston, where the funeral will take place.

The First Lady and Vice President Biden will also be among those attending the service.

After Reverend Pinckney is laid to rest, six more funerals remain for the victims of the mass shooting.
