Small plane caught fire at Logan Airport

BOSTON (WWLP) – What started as a report of a flat tire ended with a firefighting effort on a taxiway at Boston’s Logan International Airport late Wednesday morning.

Miraj Berry of the Massachusetts Port Authority told 22News that the pilot of a small plane was taxiing to takeoff, when he noticed a flat tire. The pilot turned around, and the plane was being towed, but it caught fire.

Firefighters have poured flame-retardant foam on the plane. No one was injured in the incident. The fire did not have an impact on commercial flights coming in and going out of Logan.
