(KBJR) – Police in Hermantown, Minnesota were able to put a stop to a suspect who was allegedly fleeing to Canada with a woman and her children after a fatal stabbing in Indiana Monday.
Hermantown police responded to Walmart around 4 p.m. after the woman was able to slip away and call 911. “We could see her come over the fence and we didn’t really know what was going on,” said Kole Honer, a sales consultant at Kolar Hyundai.
He let the woman use his phone to call 911. She claimed she and her three children had been kidnapped by her ex-husband from her home in Anderson, Indiana, about 50 miles outside Indianapolis.
She told authorities that the suspect had broken into her home on Sunday night and killed a man before forcing her and her family to leave with him.
