CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Taking Dad out for dinner has also always been a Father’s Day tradition for many.
Rod Crochiere of Attleboro returned to Chicopee, the city he grew up in, to spend Father’s Day with the family, having dinner at the Hu Ke Lau restaurant. Crochiere, with his wife, children, and in-laws, told 22News this to him is what Father’s Day is all about.
Crochiere said, “Father’s Day means to me to spend time with my family but you can’t spend enough time with them. And it really means a lot to me; to take time, sit down and enjoy the day.”
Alan Mars of Chicopee said, “Nice time to get together, my grandkids, my daughter, son in law, we can’t think of a better place than the Hu Ke Lau and enjoy great food. It’s nice to be together with the family unit.”
And when they finished their meal, the three generations of this Chicopee family, began thinking of Father’s Day and Mother’s Day a year from now, when once again they’ll be spending precious hours together, as so many families do on these special days.
