2 people sent to hospital after car and scooter accident

Police are investigating the cause of the accident

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) – Police responded to a serious accident that sent two people to the hospital Saturday afternoon in Manchester.

Just before 3:40 p.m. they responded to a car accident on Spencer Street near the East Hartford town line.

According to police, a car was turning left from the I-384 Westbound off ramp onto Spencer Street when it collided with a scooter traveling west on Spencer Street.

The two people on the scooter, Ramon Villanueva, of Hartford and Miriam Franco-Harris of Hartford were treated by EMS and transported to Hartford Hospital. The driver of the car, Stanley Moore, 44 of Manchester, was not injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
