Two car collision on Roosevelt Ave. in Springfield

The drivers were taken to Baystate Medical Center with minor injuries

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were injured in a two car collision Saturday morning on what Springfield police describe as a “dangerous curve” on Roosevelt Avenue.

Police Officer Ed Hiney told 22News the cars were heading in opposite directions when one driver crossed over the line and collided with the other car.

This occurred at Roosevelt Avenue and Isabel Street near the Smead arena.

Fortunately neither of the drivers were seriously hurt, but both were taken to Baystate Medical Center to be treated.
