CHICOPEE Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee wants to hear from people who want to grow and distribute medical marijuana.

The city has put out a “request for proposal” for those interested in pursuing a license. The process requires applicants to verify compliance with both state and local laws.

The city set a deadline for responses by the first week of July.

They’ll be reviewed by a panel that will make recommendations to Mayor Richard Kos, who called this “an opportunity for the city.”
