AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Scattered power outages Monday morning affected customers in all four western Massachusetts counties.

The largest outage was in Agawam, where almost 1,000 Eversource customers were out of power. Reports of the power outage there are coming from the North Westfield Street area in Feeding Hills. Power in Agawam was restored at around 7:00.

A large outage in Leverett in Franklin County affected some 625 customers there before electricity was restored, with smaller outages in Sunderland, Montague, and Shelburne.

In Hampshire County, 364 Eversource customers were without power in Amherst, and there were earlier outages in Cummington and Plainfield as well.

In Berkshire County, there were 76 Eversource customers without power at one point Monday morning, but their service has also been restored.

Eversource spokesperson Cathy Lezon told 22News that the outages are due to “equipment issues,” but did not elaborate.
