BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Drivers in Bloomfield are being urged to use caution after a moose was sighted in people’s yards.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says it received calls from several people who reported seeing the animal.
The department said Friday that people in the area of Park and Blue Hills Avenues of the town in central Connecticut are advised to use extra caution.
The resident moose population is believed to number between 100 and 150. The animals are found most often in the woods of northeastern and northwestern Connecticut.
