WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Restaurants that offer outdoor dining are definitely benefiting from our early summer weather.
It was busy Friday night on the patio at Lattitude in West Springfield. Owner Jeff Daigneau told 22News there was a nearly two hour wait for the outdoor dining last weekend.
He said after the cold harsh winter we all just went through, people were ready for open-air dining.
Daigneau said, “I mean, people been requesting the patio since mid-April. So as soon as it broke 60 degrees, we opened.”
Alfonso Santaniello of Agawam said, “Everyone’s always glued to the computers and phones. And I think, even just dinner outside makes it much more appealing and much more relaxed.”
Daigneau said the outdoor dining is a big seasonal business boost for the restaurants equipped with patios.
